One of the things I love most about blogging is photography! I used to only capture family memories with my camera. But since starting this site, I have pretty much taken a crash course in photography. So much of the story is told through images on a blog and getting the right shot for a project can sometimes be much harder than it looks. Learning to shoot in manual, control my settings, and find the right lighting has made such a difference in both my blog photos and photos I take everyday.
I love that Soma from Whims and Fancies has started a Wondering Camera linky party this year focused on photography. Here are my favorite photos from March both blog related and otherwise:
Little hands painting pasta. Who knew that dried pasta was the secret to keeping my daughter entertained?
Hand-dyed fabric – you can read more about that here!
Easter egg dyeing – quite a serious task. We had one broken egg that lead to epic tears and one shirt splashed with green dye – not bad for one adult and 3 kids 6 and under!
Spring Flowers at a family brunch
All of my silk samples for this blog post on sewing with silk
Kids hard at work. Get them sewing early is my motto! 😉
