4th of July
We had a pretty lazy 4th of July weekend, but did spend a healthy amount of time celebrating with sparklers.
Wedding Day
My sister got married! And it was a family affair – my other sister and I were a matrons of honor, my son the ringbearer and my oldest daughter a flower girl. Being in the wedding meant I didn’t take as many photos as I wanted, but this is one of my favorites of the day.
Sea Shell Collecting Bag
I took this photo of my Seashell Bag in our sandbox and loved how it came out. I also love that right outside the frame is a huge pile of shovels, dumptrucks and sand toys. 🙂
Crafting
It has been a hot month. So, the kids and I have spent a number of afternoons inside. We have been coloring, playdoughing, making paper popsicles, and painting rocks….what better way to spend a sweltering afternoon?
Dyeing Fabric
I was brave and dyed fabric with my kids. It went better than expected. This is my favorite photo….two sisters, hard at work!
Art Quilting
After taking a summer break from my art quilting group due to too many obligations, I have been working on a mini quilt for our next meeting. Another fire quilt in progress – with stenciled fire and gold foil flames! I didn’t realize how much I missed playing around with art quilting until I started planning this one.
Arthur Scraps the Cat
We treat our cats like royalty around here….we really do!
